Navaeh's birth.
My letter to Navaeh!

Navaeh,
It is day two in the life of beautiful Navaeh. You’ve had many visitors yesterday and today. You’ve awed every single one of them. Some of them even tearing up a little bit making it hard to hold mine back. You are so very adorable! You’re cry is amazing. Part of me wants you to stay like this forever, and part of me can’t wait for what the future will bring with you.
Yesterday during your birth, I stood at your mom’s feet as you entered this world. It’s a feeling that is indescribable. It took so long for your mom to just get to the point of your head being there (2 hours of pushing) when all the sudden, snap, you were here. You were crying and quickly it just hit me… that a piece of your mother and I was here. I couldn’t take it and had to take my big boy feelings (tearing) into the bathroom, just for like 30 seconds, to get a grip with the reality. They called me back out to cut your umbilical cord, and like that, you were here!
Back to today. We are in the hospital room, your momma is in the shower, and you are sleeping away. You are very tightly wrapped, it made us both laugh, because you look like a little mummy (you’ll see the picture). We cannot wait to take you home. The doctor says it’ll probably be tomorrow.
